Thanks for sharing. I'm really, really hoping this will pass on its own like it did for you both. I'm wearing one of his tshirts today so he can put it on and try to do bedtime tonight.

Up until 5-6 weeks, LO would only calm for my husband, so I really don't know why the change all of a sudden.

My LO went through the same phase. It passed in a couple of weeks but definitely let your DH try and handle the baby while he screams.

Mine did that. We powered through because I couldn't hold her all the time. Plus, DH refused to give up. He dealt with a lot of crying. It was a phase, I think it lasted until 4 months?

In the last two night, my son seems to have developed a serious mommy preference. He is 10 weeks old today.

Usually I hand the baby off to my husband when he gets home from work and he hangs out with him and puts him to bed. The baby comes back to me for a final feeding.

In the last week or so, my LO has gone back to screaming for a while before settling for bed, so we've been switching off a bit more for stress relief purposes.

And now in the last two nights, my son is inconsolable with his dad and will settle when he's with me. I need a break and it's so hard on my husband.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this a phase? I'm so worried about creating a bad habit by taking over for my husband but the baby settles easily for me and I haaaaaate the screaming.
