His comment was "your cervix is as soft as butter. I think this baby will be here soon."</p> <p>I had the expected light spotting last night after my appointment, which stopped fairly quickly. This morning I lost some of my mucous plug and have been having contractions on and off all day, but nothing consistent.</p> <p>I was induced with my first so I can't tell if this is the beginning stages of labor, or just still the result of yesterday's cervical check? Did anyone have a similar experience? If you were 100% effaced how long until labor started? I'm nervous it's too early... </p>
