Sorry, but I think sleep changes are just part of it all. Do whatever works for your family in this phase. Soon it will pass.

@MrsRoo: he didn't at first. I would prop him on the boppy before he was flat on his tummy. I think I kind if tricked him. He always fell asleep chest to chest so using the boppy kind of simulated that.

For sure this will pass!

@cmomma17: we just got home from vacation and I thought the overstimulation was the cause, too. But she slept great while we were away. I don't know why a growth spurt never occurred to me.

@Mrs. Polish: she hates being on her tummy during tummy time, I don't know how she would react to sleeping on her tummy, but its worth a try if it means I can go to the bathroom without her on my shoulder! ;) Does your little guy like being on his belly even when he's not napping?

@hergreenapples: yay, a light at the end of the tunnel :) thank you!

12 week wonder week?

This happened to DD two weeks ago (she's 11 weeks now, but was two weeks later and WWs are based on due date not birth date). It was he'll for about four or five days, but then she just snapped out of it and is back to her normal long naps now. I promise it will pass!

We went through this and the only thing that saved us was that I let him start napping on his tummy. I'd keep him in the same room with me so I could watch him, but it was the only way we got back to daytime sleep

@MrsRoo: I am going through this now. My LO will be 12 weeks on Thursday, we've probably been dealing with extra screaming and poor napping for at least a week now. I was blaming overstimulation (his siblings are here visiting for a month so there have been more people paying attention to him, more leaving the house, etc.), but other moms tell me it is a 3 month growth spurt.

LO has always been a pretty good sleeper, but the last few days she refuses to nap anywhere but in my arms! She still sleeps in her crib at night, and is fine in her swing, bouncy seat, and RnP as long as she's awake. But within 30 seconds of setting her down while she's napping, she screams. What gives? Has anyone else gone through this? How long did it last?
