I just found this note a wrote

Schedule at 14 months
5:30-6am wake up and 6oz milk bottle
7:30am ish breakfast
10-12 Some kind of nap
12:30-1 Lunch
2 or 3 some kind of other nap (hopefully)
5-5:30 Dinner
6:45 Bath
7 Bedtime + 6oz bottle
sleeps through the night.... mostly

16 Months schedule
5-5:30am wake up + 5oz bottle
7am breakfast
10:30am snack
11am nap
1-1:30pm wake up + Lunch
4pm Snack
6pm Dinner
7pm Bedtime + 8oz bottle

He drinks water through the day and has some snacks, but we try not to snack much outside the schedule or he wont eat dinner. Nap is slowly moving later. There was a little while where bedtime was early because end of nap to bedtime was too long and he was getting up stupid early. I managed to shift everything a little later.

I feel like i will never get the night time bottle away from LO1 and he's reattached himself to the morning one now that LO2 is here, but I'll take that over nursing two....

DS went to 1 nap at 14 months. We dropped bottles at 13 months and went to straw cups. My son didn't care because he just wasn't a milk drinker (breast, formula, WCM, whatever). Like we replaced bedtime milk with straw cups of water if he wanted it and he never really noticed. We also kept out straw cups of water and snack traps of Cheerios around the house that he could snack on while playing if he wanted it so that he stayed hydrated. He did decide he liked milk around 18 months and he's been pretty okay about drinking his 2 cups a day.

The early transition schedule was like this:

730am wake up and eat breakfast with straw cup of milk.

1030am large snack with milk

11am nap

1-130 wake up and have lunch with milk

4pm light snack

530pm dinner with milk

630pm bath

700pm bedtime or earlier because he's tired

We were able to gradually push the nap (and be advised it takes a few weeks for the 1 nap to extend to a long nap) so by 16 months it was:

Up at 730am and have breakfast with milk

930-10am light snack

1130am lunch with milk

12-3pm nap

3pm-ish snack

530pm dinner with milk

630pm bath

730pm bedtime

So with Clem, who's turning one in a few weeks, we're spacing nursing out to get to one session during the workday. I'm still trying to get her to do two naps, but sometimes she just barrels past her am nap! Here's her schedule now:

6-6:30: wake, nurse
8:00: breakfast solids with cows milk offered
9:30: attempted am nap
10:30/11: wake from nap & lunch solids with cows milk offered
11:30/12: nursing session
1:30: attempted pm nap
2:30/3: wake from nap & snack solids
**i pick her up around 3:45ish and let her nurse on demand for the rest of the evening**
5:30/6: dinner solids with water
6:30/7: nursing session and bedtime

In a few months when she walks and moves to the Toddler room, she'll go to just one nap which will be 12-2:30 ish. Right now, when she's not tired at 9:30, I try to keep her going until 12 and then try for nap I hate putting her to sleep at 11ish because she wakes up around 1:30 and is exhausted by 5:30. That really jacks up our evenings.
I'll also drop the midday nursing session and hopefully she'll bring up her cows milk intake with meals. I play on cluster-feeding in the evenings with nursing, which my older son did around that age.

E is 14 months. He still takes two naps. He never took to WCM but I nurse 2x a day and he takes water with meals and throughout the day

630-7 wake and nurse
7 breakfast with water
830-9 (2 hours from when he wakes up) nap1
12 lunch with water
1 nap2
230-3 snack
530 dinner with water
630 nurse and bed

His naps are 1-1.5 hours each and I don't see him dropping one anytime soon so I'm curious as to what other babies do. He gets so tired by 9am and marches into his room demanding "night-night"

DD is 14 months. Her wake time varies each day, but nap and bed is the same.

8:00am - up, diaper change
8:15- I give her a cup of milk while I make breakfast.
10:15- snack
11:30-12- lunch, she usually has water with lunch
12:45- we go in her nursery and read a story before she goes in her crib for a nap. I offer her a sip of milk out of her cup. Some days she drinks and some days she doesn't.
3:00- awake and demanding a snack
5:30- dinner with a cup of milk
7:00- bath followed by bed. She still nurses before bed. I'm planning to wean her completely soon.

My daughter's mood is very closely tied to how hungry she is. She easily gets hangry and she eats a ton. Some days she two snacks between meals plus a snack before bed.

14 month old. Stopped nursing at 13 months and had already started milk in a sippy cup. No bottles to transition from. I put her on one nap at 11 months because I started taking care of an 11.5 month old who was only on one nap and I wanted them on a similar schedule. My kid is a crapy napper though and has unreliable napped since birth but always had a good night sleep so that's the trade off.

It's a bit of trial and error I gather from others when they drop naps. I have a friend with an 18 month old who naps once during the week at daycare and twice during the day on weekends.

I tend to use milk as a snack/filler so I don't like to give it with meals much anymore. She usually needs 5 hours before a potentially good nap will occur although she'll fall asleep in a stroller or vehicle if we're out around 10/11 for 15 minutes and then mess stuff up! I wake from a nap by 4 at the latest usually if it ends up going that late. So I have only a 3.5 hour break before bed or a 5 hour gap more often than not. The length of time has never been a problem for her going to sleep at night luckily.

Wake 6:15-7 depends on the day.
Milk in cup offered and breakfast at 7:30/8 depending on how hungry she is. All this week she has eaten a massive bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Water with breakfast.

Snack around 10: cup of milk or something little. She will usually only drink an ounce or two of milk at this point.

Lunch 11:50 with water and then milk after she has eaten a little.

Nap 12:45/1:30 depending on wake up time. Then she likes to surprise me everyday by either sleeping for 40 minutes or up to 2 hours (it's a fun time...)

Water when she wakes up and a snack

Dinner 5:30/6 depending on how grumpy she is and how quickly I get dinner ready. Water with dinner.

Bedtime stuff starts around 6:45. Cup of milk with stories around 7 and in bed by 7:30.

He may just be too distracted to finish as much milk as he used to be able to. I think a lot of people don't use milk as a snack or filler so it would be fine to serve it with meals if he is a good eater. I usually get about 8 oz of wcm into my daughter a day. Sometimes 12 and she isn't a fabulous eater so I try to get as many calories into her as I can.

6:30 wake -- about 4 oz whole milk
7:00-8:00 breakfast
10:30 -11 lunch
12:00-2:00 nap
2:30 snack
4:00 about 4 oz whole milk
6:00 dinner
7:30 bed

She gets milk when she wakes and usually around 4 in the afternoon. I will fill up her 4 pm cup after she's done and she totes that around and sips on it prior to bedtime.

My son is 2yo by we started solidly on 1 nap a day at 18 months (transition took from 15-18 months).

Our schedule since 18 months has been this:

7am wake and straw cup of milk
8am breakfast (with milk or water, he chooses)
9:30/10am small snack with milk
11:30 lunch with milk or water
12/12:30 nap till 2:30/3pm
3:30/4pm snack with milk
5/5:30 dinner with milk
*he can continue to have more milk up until he brushes his teeth around 6:30/7, then water only
7/7:30 bedtime (depends on the day)

I just kept a straw cup of water around all day in case he wanted it. He's like his mom, not a big water fan.

My advice for switching to milk in a sippy - only change one variable at a time. My ped gave me this advice because she said if you stop bottles and switch to wcm at he same time, and he revolts, you don't know if it's the milk or the cup.
So, we mixed milk and formula in the bottle and every other day changed the ratio to less formula and more milk. So 5oz formula and 1oz wcm. Then 4oz formula and 2oz wcm. He didn't skip a beat.
Once we had all WCM in the bottle, we just replaced one bottle at a time with a sip cup of milk instead. It was totally fine. So my point is that if you want to keep offering milk between meals with snack you totally can. You can have almost the same schedule you have until you transition to 1nap just do straw cups of milk instead of bottles.
And the nap transition will happen gradually. It's not like all the sudden one day he'll be staying up till noon and taking one nap. You might have really early or really late lunches for a while. That's ok! Just offer milk and a nutritious snack right before or after the nap.
This is kind of ramble-y. Sorry! I wrote a super clear email about the transition to milk in a straw cup to a friend. PM me if you want it! It's how I did it step by step and what worked and what didn't.
I'm also mildly insane about schedule and routine, so it may be overkill for you. ;-)

@DesertDreams88: my ds is 14m (almost 15) and although we also offer milk/ sometimes water during meals, all of it being in straw or silly cups (so probably taking less at a time) we have fallen into a routine similar to yours, actually!

ETA, I think there's no way to answer your question but to try it with meals and see. Gets harder to track though.

DS will be 14 months on 1/8. He goes to daycare 4 days/week and has a slightly different schedule there compared to at home. Also it is slightly different for weekends when I'm home vs the weekday he's home with DH. He won't drink cows milk and he still wakes to nurse 1x overnight. I'm going to be cutting daytime nursing/bottles starting after we get back from vacation mid-January. So I will just nurse at wake up and bedtime and water for the rest of the day.

Home:
730: Wake and nurse
830: breakfast with water
930: nap (quick nurse on one side if I'm home - nothing if I'm not)
11: wake
12: lunch with water
2: nap (quick nurse on one side if I'm home - nothing if I'm not)
330: wake and snack (bottle of BM on days I'm not home - water if I've been home to nurse)
6: dinner with water
7: nurse and bed

Daycare days:
6: wake and nurse
715: morning snack with water at school
9: breakfast with water
12: lunch with bottle of BM
1230: nap
230: wake and snack with water
4: pick up
6: dinner
630: nurse and bed

He is extremely tired/cranky when we get home from daycare and I am not very happy with him only taking one nap but that is their schedule. And there's no way he will sleep with the lights on and all the kids running around. I made them try for weeks with no luck.

We have been doing the EASY routine pretty much forever. His milk and food feedings are distinctly separate because he seems to sleep and behave better that way, getting calories in every 2 hours or so. Now that we're going to be transitioning to whole milk and sippies, and eventually one nap, I just can't wrap my head around him only getting "fed" 4ish times a day! What was your feeding / nap routine 12-18 months? I'm especially interested in the early versions of a 1-nap day. How many hours before nap, and after nap?

Here is his current schedule, which is working well:
7: Wake, milk
8:30 Breakfast
9:30: Nap
11: Wake, milk
12:30 Lunch
2:30: Nap
4: Milk and snack
6: Dinner
7:30: Milk
8: Bed

He is starting to not finish his bottles. Should I decrease the amount of ounces or is that a sign he is ready to do milk with meals, instead of spaced out?

Sorry if I sound crazy, LO & I thrive when we have a schedule / routine!
