My daughter is only 10 months and she is already starting to refuse her evening nurse. She will always nurse in the morning, but apparently she kinda over the evening nurse. With me it might have something to do with my dwindling supply (due to pregnancy) but she's eating lots of solids, BM bottles, and a little WCM.

@hilsy85: she opens wide in the morning. but after naps now she won't nurse even if she's sleepy, she just pushes away. the last time she did this she was teething but it didn't last more than a day. :(

I would just keep offering...will she nurse when she's sleepy, like right away in the morning or when she wakes up from a nap?

And don't worry about her not drinking any other milk; your crunch mom friends are right :) As long as she's getting fats and calcium from other foods, she's fine.

so my daughter was doing 3 nursing sessions - in the morning when she woke up, and when she woke up from her two naps. then last week she only nursed in the morning, and at lunch and refused to nurse any other time, even before bed.

6 days ago she will only nurse in the morning. is this the beginning of the end of nursing for us? she's not even walking yet.

i wanted to nurse as long as she would let me, but she doesn't take milk from a bottle/cup/sippy cup and so i think she needs these nursing sessions....although my crunchy mom friends say if she can pig out on cheese and yogurt and water she'll be fine....
