@Kemma: @Beyond2: @pinkcupcake: @Ginger333: thank you so much ladies for calming my fears. He does seem to be teething and he grew almost an entire inch recently. I managed to eat him to eat a bit of Mac and cheese and some yogurt today so that's a start.

It sounds like teething and a growth spurt together - lucky you! He's getting everything he needs from your milk and it's not a bad thing for him to just have milk, I had a baby who didn't have a bite of "soild food" until she was 12 months old and she's 7 now and perfectly fine.
For the sore nipples, I'd use Newman's APNO (which is prescription) - the one he makes with ibuprofin is so soothing. If that's not an option, I'd pop a couple Advil and try to wait it out. It shouldn't last more than a few days I would expect.
Keep offering him soft foods, maybe try a sippy cup with milk or water too. Eventually he'll want food again. This too shall pass - you can do it!

@MrsMccarthy: My LO went through periods where all she wanted was to nurse. I wouldn't worry about him not getting enough nutrients, but be careful with sore nipples - I ended up getting mastitis when she was almost 15 months because of a non-stop 2-day nursing session :( I tried to distract her as much as I could whenever she wanted to nurse - took her out, went for walks, had DH hold her whenever he was around.

I know someone whose 2year told went on a solids strike and exclusively nursed for 6 weeks. She had no problem and eventually went back to her normal diet.

Could be teething or maybe a growth spurt? And I wouldn't worry about the lack of solid food, breastmilk still has all the good stuff your little man needs!

Not much helpful advice except to say that it doesn't last long. My 2 year old went through a lot of these phases, and they go away on their own. Your milk is enough for him, for a while.

My 14 month old son used to be the best eater but the past few days he has only wanted to nurse. I can hardly get him to down any solids. He cries and freaks out when I deny him and he has in general been pretty fussy mostly due I teething I think. I offer him things to sooth his mouth but in the end he jut wants my breast. I worry he is not getting enough of the proper nutrients and my nips are so sore. Does anyone have any tips that do not involve crying it out? Also, is it bad for a baby this age to primarily consume breast milk. Short of force feeding him I am just my sure how to get him to eat more. He has been so picky. Thank you for our input.
