I hope your LO feels better soon. Fevers are so scary when they are that young.

@kentuckygirl: Poor guy! We would do steamy showers when LO was stuffy. I would sit with her or would actually shower and sit her in the bouncy chair. Then I'd use the Nose Frieda on her when I was done. We got the Maty's rub from Walgreens. It's like baby Vicks, but all natural. LO had croup when she was 5 months and her new 'scary' number was 104. Her temp got up to 102.7. It was scary and she only had a mild case. Glad things were going down without tylenol!

@spaniellove: he is almost always a little raspy but today has more mucous.

We saw the Dr. this morning. He believes M has a UTI but was unable to get a urine sample.

Thank you all for the support & love!

@kentuckygirl: So glad to hear his fever is down. It would be a good idea to get him in this morning and hopefully they will make an effort to do that. Nose Frida and saline drops sound good; this is a dumb question but does he tend to get congested or is this unusual for him? I ask because that's the norm for J.

Oh- and FWIW, our ped is not a huge fan of using Tylenol first for very young babies without being sure about where the fever's coming from.

Hi all! We did just let him sleep last night. His fever is down to 99 F this morning. He didn't have any Tylenol last night. Our Ped has office hours this morning, so I will call to see if we should go in. He does sound congested this morning so I have used saline drops and the Nose Frieda. Any other suggestions on how to help him? He is nursing normally. Thank you all!

I'm responding late and youve probably already decided what to do, but we were told 100.4 was a fever. I'd try to call sooner rather than later since phone triage can take a while and babies show symptoms of sickness differently than older kids so it's harder to rely on their symptoms. Really hope M is okay! They cant be getting sick yet!

If it comes down with medicine I don't worry too much. Unless it doesn't respond to meds (below100) or there are other symptoms I would wait it out.

We had a few super early fevers. The lethargy/feeling bad is worse than the fever itself, so if he still seems ok, I think I'd just keep taking his temp and monitoring it until morning. But you also just have to go with your gut. I made a lot of nurse line calls in the early days.

My guy had RSV when he was 3 months and we ended up in the ER for a brief time. It's so scary. Love to you and your little.

My 14 week old baby has a fever :( . It's 101.6 rectally. He doesn't act like he feels bad. I read that anything over 102.2 is cause for concern for a 3 month old. He just drifted off to sleep. I think I will wake him in a little while to check his temperature again. Poor baby :( I will definitely call the Dr in the morning. Would you call tonight?

Did your LO ever get a fever this young? He started daycare 3 weeks ago, I hope this isn't a sign of illnesses to come.
