I agree with PP. My DS had a 12 noon big nap and a 4 pm “cat nap” at that age until he turned 2. Actually at 15 months, he had just dropped the mid-morning nap. His bedtime is/was 7:00 pm and he woke/wakes up at the same time as yours.

Other thoughts: does he need more of a bedtime routine to wind him down? Is he getting screentime or something else that would be overstimulating him too close to bedtime?

If he’s barely making it to nap, maybe move nap earlier? Then hopefully he would be a little more tired by bedtime. DS has gone through phases though where it takes him longer to fall asleep. For us it usually passed after a couple of weeks. If he’s happy and seems well rested in the morning I wouldn’t stress too much about it.

I actually would try bedtime earlier - he might be overtired and wired. My kids still had 2 naps at that age

I don’t know what we’re doing wrong...
DS has been taking 1-2 hours to go to sleep at night. He’s not at all upset. The opposite actually. He can be super fussy, but as soon as he’s in his bed he’s a happy camper. He just talks to himself. The only thing in the bed with him is his pacifier.
Schedule:
7am(ish) - Wakeup
12-2 - Nap
7pm - Bedtime

He barely makes it to his nap. Whenever I put him down for nap he’s asleep within 5mins. We’ve tried pushing bedtime to 8pm and he still is up chatting for a long time and still woke up at 7am.

He’s not upset by any means. I just feel bad letting him lay there. But I feel like extended bedtime doesn’t work either :bummed: Is this normal?
