I think it's time to be solidly on 1 nap too.

My 15 mo old was fighting bed time like crazy and got better once we were firmly in the 1 nap camp. The initial transition wasn't the easiest but it did "fixed" a lot of our other sleep issues.

@tiredmommy: Have you transitioned to 1 nap yet? That might help things. Unfortunately, LO1 gave up his second nap at 10 months! But...once he did, he slept better in the afternoon (he was always such a bad napper), and he was going down really easily at night and staying asleep.

If you've already transitioned, how long ago was it?

My little one is almost 16.5 months old and we are suffering majorly in the sleep department. For the last month naps have been all over the place, perhaps due to the pending transition to one nap. Nap issues of late would require a another post, probably!

That said, I'm tired. My little guy nursed in the middle of the night until a couple of months ago. I don't think he started to sleep through the night semi-regularly until about 14 months or so. Just when I had a few weeks of getting more sleep, we've seemed to regressed yet again. He refuses to go to bed often or will go to bed and then will wake up before my husband and I go to bed (or often just as we do). He then has a horrible time going back to sleep. If we pass that early wake-up hump, he'll often wake up sometime in the middle of the night. One night last week, I was up with him from 1-4ish, which was a new low. Could this be the dreaded 18 month sleep regression or am I in for no sleep the next few months? I'm so tired I can't even imagine what a week of uninterrupted sleep at night would do for me!
