my son is doing less of this these days but he did go through a period where he was doing so. Is there anything in particular that he likes? i know certain kinds of oral fixations can be related to mineral deficiancies. It could also just be something he is newly exploring because he was reoccupied with other things before or teething may have made him less inclined if he had sensative gums. I would look into it but i wouldn't worry.

My LO never went through much of a "put everything in the mouth" phase. Now suddenly, about a week before he turns 18 months, he's putting everything in his mouth. We had to take away toys he's been playing with for months. He's got a full mouth of teeth, so I don't think it's teething related...seems early for 2 year molars, I think? It's almost like he thinks it's funny. Any suggestions?

And somewhat (ok not really at all) related, can anyone recommend a toilet lock? Because he's also really into the toilet all the sudden and I know it's only a matter of time before he's interested in putting said toys in the toilet:(

Yay toddlers!
