@cake2017: I read that consistency is key too, so that's what we're trying to do. He's so stubborn though- he'll scream bloody murder until we go in there. We'll go in and rub his back and I hope we're not creating bad habits but it's the only way to get him to calm down. I'm glad to hear your nights are getting better! Gives me some hope! haha

I’m sorry! No advice, just commiseration. Our younger DD is just getting out of the horrible 18 month sleep regression. It was brutal. She was sick through much of it as well, so we definitely just did whatever it took to get some sleep. She slept with me a lot. It does get better!

@BeatlesFan629: It’s awful! Last night was better he slept through. The other night he woke up at 930pm crying. I didn’t go in and be laid down and went back to sleep and slept through. I’m hoping it’s over. How are you handling it? I just read to be consistent. Didn’t help that he has a cold.

I'm going through this right now. We've taken him to the doctor twice because I was convinced something was wrong (ear infection, throat...etc). He's checked out ok though so I'm assuming this is a regression. We're going on week 2 of this. I feel like I have a newborn again

@charlotte: I don’t believe he has one. I’m going to watch it though and definitely do a follow up appointment with the doctor- thank you

Is it possible his cold has turned into an ear infection? This just happened with my little guy and fussiness after a cold, especially when trying to sleep, was really the only sign.

LO in the last 4 days has had awful sleep patterns. He use to STTN but now is waking up between 9-10pm crying and 430am-530am. He also has a cold and/or teething. Bedtime is 630pm and he used to sleep all the way until 630am-7am. Naps use to be 1.5-2.5 hours now 45mins. I don’t know what to do. I went in last night and patted him but now it’s like he wants that every night. Suggestions? TIA
