My mom's friends gave one to DD for her first birthday. We used it a ton to hold her stuff and she used it last year for preschool (and will use it it this coming year as well). They put her first name on it but I would definitely prefer initials. I struggle with this for any gift for my second daughter, so I bet it's that much harder for a third kid! For my second one's first birthday, we gave her some new bubbles (which we needed anyway), a couple special books, and a box of kleenex that she could pull apart to her heart's content (she thought this was the best. thing. ever.). For her second birthday, she got another book, her "own" tube of toothpaste and a roll of bubble wrap because she loves to stomp on it to pop with her feet. Her grandparents still do plenty of toys and clothes as gifts, even though we reeeally don't need anything. I imagine as she starts to have interests separate from her big sister one day, it'll change. I'll probably pick an outfit but she really doesn't need many clothes! </p> <p>any genius ideas for a really cool new toy or something that would be a unique keepsake?
