We tried around 18 months and it led to 4 AM wake ups from her bring overtired. She was finally ready at 22 months. I think she was up about 7, nap close to 12, in bed about 6:30.

Around 18 months, we asked the nanny to keep her up for her first nap, unless she obviously needed it, and put her down for the second nap only. She would skip the morning nap for 2-3 days, then need 1, and did this for about 2 weeks until she didn't need the morning nap anymore.

We did not adjust bedtime at all, but it's everything we can do to get her to bed on time most nights anyway with the mad dash of dinner, bath (if needed,) books, and bed

It just happened one day. All of a sudden, she stopped taking a morning nap at daycare and that was that. It was freakishly easy.

DS held onto his two naps for a long time. We tried to drop around 15 months, but he wasn't ready. At 18 months over the course of a week, we gradually pushed back his morning nap time to midday and eliminated the second afternoon nap! It took probably a couple weeks after that for him to get on a consistent 2+ hour single nap!

No advice here, but I've been doing a lot of reading on a HB and elsewhere to prepare myself, as my LO will probably make the transition in the next month or two. There are a lot of threads in the archives here, under toddler naps.
