Night one: took about an hour to get kids to sleep. By that I mean ds crawled out of bed with blanket and laid on the floor while I rocked dd to sleep. Whatever. Shr woke up crying at some point that night but I didn't go in and get her and she prob woke ds up...he crawled in our bed at 530 sat am. So not bad!!

Night 2: took less time to get them both to sleep. Ds was super tired and fell asleep immediately in bed. Rocked dd and put her in crib. I only remember her waking up and crying once.

Night 3: skipped because dd woke up with a fever so I kept her in our bed to monitor

Night 4: ds was acting crazy and wouldn't stay in bed, got blanket and falling asleep on floor at my feet. Dd asleep in arms hopefully I can put in crib and him back in bed and no one wakes up!!

@matador84: Sorry to hear that! I hope it improves. It's not 100% rainbows and unicorns here either...we made the switch when both kids were still in cribs, and just moved DD1 to a bed a few weeks ago. So we definitely have our share of sneaking out of bed/sleeping on the floor going on here, too, if that's any consolation.

@matador84: My two are better/deeper sleepers since moving in together. One would need to be awake and really upset for a long time (longer than we'd let it go) to wake the other
@SleepyMonkey: they go to bed at the same time, but don't fall asleep at the same time. They get up from naps and for the day at different times, though, and as long as I go quickly to the awake one, they don't wake each other up. Currently My older DD is up in the AM about 30 mins to an hour earlier, and just comes quietly to my room.

@matador84: I knowwwww. I keep thinking part of the problem is that she is in our room! But I'm too chicken to test it out and just put her into her sisters room.

I'm afraid dd will wake DS up and then I'll be up with two kids.

ditto what @erinpye: said. dd2 was not STTN at 12 months....moved her in with her big sister (she was in her own room before) and BAM - sleep! DD1's night terrors also calmed down after the move.

Not quite the same since we have twins but we live in a 750 sq ft 2-bedroom apartment and my kids have shared a room since they were born. Totally doable.

With DD we were in 1 bdr apt. DH and I moved into the living room while we trained toSTTN. We now have DS who is 5 weeks old and we live in a two bdr. I'm hoping they can share around the 5 month or 6 month mark.

We have 2 kids and a 3 br house. Our kids are the same ages as yours, and we recently moved them into a room together. My 20 month old sleeps better now that she's in a room with her sister!

We have a 2 br apt. I have a 1.5 yo son and girl on the way.. Baby girl will sleep in our room til we r ready to have them share..

We just moved last week and we are giving the kids the larger room and putting minimal items in so there's room or baby girl's things. I even think we could fit 3 in there eventually! This apt is very close to my hubby's work and we hate moving.. I want to say here for awhile so it's nice to know more kids can technically fit.. Haha

What is your living situation like? We have a 3 year old and 20 month old plus us in a 2 bedroom. The 20 month old doesn't sttn but is getting there.

We are thinking about moving the lo2 crib to lo1 room over thanksgiving holiday and lo1 into our room on a pallet. Hopefully this will force sttn at lo2's age. If lo2 can sttn, then lo1 and 2 can share a room hopefully with no problems.
