Turns out it’s reflux related. Pediatrician prescribed Zantac.

Hmm. Hoarseness is typically related to minor throat irritation or overuse of your voice. I don’t really see a connection between a hoarse voice and loose stool. Sometimes babies have random symptoms that aren’t anything to worry about-just normal baby stuff. Hope you’re able to relax and enjoy your newborn!

My baby has sounded hoarse a few times when she has a virus. The doctor said it’s from post-nasal drip.

My little 2-month-old girl’s cry sounded really hoarse today. She also had really runny poop, which might still be related to her dairy protein intolerance (I cut dairy out of my diet a week ago). So, I don’t know if the two are related or not. Anyone else had a baby with hoarseness? Did you find out the cause? I’ll be calling the pediatrician in the morning. Thanks!
