I handled it worse than him. Holding him while they did it helped. My boob was in lo's mouth before he could even start crying! He has taken all of his shots like a champ and he's been smiles and giggles throughout the rest of the day and has always slept well afterwards too.</p> <p>My friends's sister is a NICU nurse and she recommended Tylenol 30-60 minutes before and every 4-5 hours afterwards for the next 24 hours. It's her 2nd round of shots at 5 months (it's delayed a month here). She was fine the first time ... until hours later and spiked a fever! It was the fever he got later that night that was awful. C handles shots really well so she is always fine and stops crying as soon as I pick her up and give her a few cuddles, no feeding needed. It's really a very quick process. A couple jabs, they cry a bit and then it's over. I was so, so nervous too but it ended up really not being as big of a deal as I thought.</p> <p>She had no issues with the 2 and 4 months shots and she had a low-grade fever after the 6 months ones but was back to normal in 24 hours. I didn't even give my doctor a chance to rush me out, I just picked her up and started to nurse her before they even left the room. I'm hoping my doctor's office will let me nurse her right after but they always seem like they're in a rush and need the room back for the next person. Even thinking about it now is making me nauseous.</p> <p>Tell me it's not that bad! Or tell me it is, and how to make it easier on us both?</p> <p>I bought Little Fevers..should I give it to her before or after? </p>
