@mediagirl: @Mrs. Yoyo: Yup, ditto mrs yoyo! We didn't have any on hand, though, so it was a nightmare when she spiked a fever & the pharmacy was already closed.

@mediagirl: The pedis I've been to suggest you only give it afterward if your LO seems fussy/feverish. Apparently it can mess with the effectiveness of the shots, according to some recent studies. I remember Baby Y cried and then was just sleepy that day.

Our office had us bring in the Tylenol with us. The nurse went over how to give it to her, then had us give her some before the doctor came in.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: would you suggest we give her Tylenol before, just in case?

They had LO lay on the table, with me holding her hands. Two nurses gave the shots, so it was done in less than 30 seconds.

I made sure to have a bottle ready afterward, and gave it to her.

LO had an awful reaction to her vaccinations (not normal, don't worry!) and I wish I knew to have infant tylenol on hand.

I held onto my LO during the shots and I nursed him immediately so he only cried for 2 seconds. He took a 2.5 hour nap afterwards and he wasn't overly fussy or feverish. He took them like a champ!

The nurse had him on the table and she held his leg while she did the shots. Once she was done I was able to pick him up and snuggle him. We did nurse for a few minutes after to help calm him down.

We gave her Tylenol drops before. I thought she'd freak out because she's pretty fussy, but she just cried a little bit. She passed out for the rest of the day.

My husband held her while the nurse administeref the shots. She cried for about a minute. The day of the shots she slept, but was verrrry fussy for 3-4 days after!

My son was on the table and I snuggled him during the shots. He only screamed from the time the needle went in until they put the bandaid on each time, so he really didn't need extra comforting, but some babies get really upset.

Also, he was intermittently fussy over the next couple of days (he usually isn't) and slept a lot. Good luck! She'll be fine!

We go in tomorrow for M's 2 month shots. I'm so scared for her! What should I expect? Did you hold your lo when she/he got their shots or just sit there and put your hand on them? Did you nurse or feed them after their shots to help soothe them?
