My DD moved to 2 naps at 6 months when she started daycare. She is 8.5 months now. Her schedule looks something like this:

6:30 am wake up
9:30-11:30 nap
2:00-3:30 nap
7:00 bed

Sometimes she likes to switch up times or takes a long nap and a short nap instead of 2 equal length naps, but generally we get 2.5-3.5 hours of naps a day. Bedtime didn't get earlier for us.

@gilmoregirl: oh yeah, I forgot that by the time LO will be ready for 2 naps, he'll also be able to stay awake longer....so in theory it shouldn't move bedtime up (unless you want it to, like you did! )

1. Wake up time between 5.30 and 6 (yuck)

2. 2 - 3.5 hours total naps (30m - 1hr in the am, 1.5 - 2.5 hrs in the pm)

3. Bedtime is 7.15. This did get earlier when we moved to 2 naps, it used to be more like 8 but he just couldn't make it that far.

Generally I really liked the move to 2 naps, it was so much easier to plan around and also nice to get a bit more evening to relax with the earlier bedtime.

1) What time did your LO wake up in the morning?
He's usually up around 7. Sometimes it will range between 6:30-7:30.

2) How many hours total were naps per day?
3-3.5 I actually try to limit him to this because any more and he's ready to party in the MOTN.

3) When was bedtime? Did bedtime get earlier once you dropped from 3 to 2 naps?
Bedtime is 7-7:30. It did get earlier but that third catnap was pushing it pretty late as his awake times lengthened. One of the reasons I put him down to two naps was that he was going to bed so late (like 8:30ish) and it seemed like it was messing with his night sleep and giving us early wakeups. He does best with a 7-7:30 bedtime.

wake up 6/30

Bedtime- 7:45/8:00
Wakeup- 8:30 or later (sometimes as late as 9:30 or 10 and in those cases her naps were seriously thrown off).
nap 1- around 11
nap 2--around 4:00

About 3 hours total of naps a day. Is more if she gets less night sleep.

1) 6:30/7:00 a.m.
2) 2-3 hours
3) 7:00/7:30 p.m. Bedtime didn't change for us when we went to two naps. It became earlier when we went to one nap, but only for a few months.

E was on a 2-nap schedule until about 16 months old.

Bedtime: 6:45pm
Wake up: 6:30am-ish (anywhere between 6 and 7 was fair game)
Nap 1: about 9/930am
Nap 2: about 130/2pm

I can't remember if we bumped bedtime up when we dropped from 3 to 2 naps, though! I want to say we probably did. E used to go to sleep at 8pm or so...and she would just be SO CRABBY and every day i would move her nap up. We found the sweet spot at 6:45

When your baby was on a 2-nap schedule (like 2-3-4 or similar),
1) What time did your LO wake up in the morning?
2) How many hours total were naps per day?
3) When was bedtime? Did bedtime get earlier once you dropped from 3 to 2 naps?

My LO is 5.5 months and we're still on 3 naps, with the third always a 30-45 minute catnap. We're definitely not ready to drop the 3rd nap yet, since the first two are unpredictable (but getting better overall). I can't wait for him to go to 2 naps but at the same time I don't want bedtime to be earlier nor do I want him waking up earlier than he already does!!
