We've stayed at the MGM and the Tropicana. MGM was nice and has been renovated since, but my favorite casinos to ogle are the Bellagio &amp; Paris. Beautiful decor and great food. I'd also recommend checking out the Cosmpolitan. Two nights is worth it, but you may be excited to go back. IMO the best hotel in Vegas is the Cosmopolitan, their breakfast buffet is amazing if you don't stay there. I'm in California, so it might be worth it. For me, if I were to spend all of the first day traveling, have one day there and then leave the next morning, I would be less inclined. Almost depends on what you want to do. I like the middle of the strip (Bellagio/Caesars) because it's near the other big hotels and miracle mile/forum shops. I loved staying at Wynn because I just felt like it was super nice and across the street from a great mall. I'm personally not a show type of person, I go just to shop, gamble, pool and clubs (in my much younger days). </p> <p>I've stayed at Flamingo, MGM, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Wynn, and I know others I am forgetting...I think Bellagio will always be my favorite. I love to gamble cheap at O'Sheas.
