Is this 4 month sleep regression a thing? Or just a common month for babies to change their sleep pattern?

Loving your answers about interacting with baby. I do walk him around with me in the carrier and talk to him.. so I guess I'm not doing too bad!

1) 4 months is when naps got better and we were on a more predictable schedule. It wasn't perfect but it was way better!

2) We went for lots of walks and ran errands to cut the monotony of 'playing' inside! I described the surroundings and what we were seeing, feeling, hearing, etc.

Just holding an infant at that age is great. I would carry around my LO when I did laundry or vacuumed. My grandfather loved carrying her around the house and would point things out and put things in her hand to feel. She loved that so I would do that when he wasn't around.

1) when did your LO stop the frequent infant naps?
Around 4 months there was more of a natural, obvious routine/schedule. He was taking about 3 naps a day consistently.

2) what ways do you interact with your baby once they became more alert?
Read books, walk around the house and describe things to him (look, that's a picture of mommy and daddy when we got married, etc.), go on walks and just describe the surroundings, tummy time...

5.5 months.

At 2 months I did a lot of tummy time with her and when she got tired of that, I tried to get her to bat at her toys. Oh, and I spent ages trying to get her to smile and coo.

1. Around 2 weeks it started getting really hard to get her asleep(naps or bed). She never took long naps until 9 months and we moved to 2 naps.
2)read her books, lay down with her for tummy time, flash cardd(black and white objects, there is an app too), walks, just talking to her about what I was doing.

1) He started taking longer naps around 8 weeks, but then it all fell apart around 4 months, and naps didn't consolidate until around 6.5/7 months. From 2months til then, he took 40 minute cat naps.

2) Honestly, I feel like until they are mobile, just kind of being in the world is enough interaction! I would baby wear a lot and just go about your day, and just talk about what you are doing. Playing music, reading books, looking in the mirror, play mats, lying outside on the grass, and going for walks is pretty much what I did with LO. It gets a LOT easier once they start being more responsive to what you are doing/saying!

Somewhere around 4 months, LO stopped napping as much, but she also really fights naps. She is doing better now at 6.5 months, but still not great.

I talk to her while I fold laundry and lay the clothes against her hand to feel. We play Where is LO? while I make the bed and I billow the sheets over her while she is on the bed. We do baby yoga sometimes. At 2 months, I started taking her to story time at the library.

I have no idea how to interact with my 2 month old after exhausting the usual singing , face time, etc. I feel so silly.
