He had been fighting the second nap for a couple of months and I was tired of it. He seemed fine staying up longer in the morning, as long as he wasn't in the car. At first it was really nice- I could rely on 2-2.5 hour naps. Now at 18 months, he usually only naps 1.5 hours. I wanted her to be on 1 nap by the time the baby came when she was 18 months. It was taking her an increasingly long time to fall asleep. Then she wasn't ready to wake up at her normal wakeup time and I had to either wake her from a short nap or let her sleep and that pushed back our whole day. I stuck with it for a month hoping she would snap out of it. But nope.
