I would keep LO #2 in a bassinet or pack n play in my room at first and then transition them to a crib in their own room when they're ready. I guess w/ 2 up 2 down, I would ultimately aim for a configuration where the two kids have bedrooms on the same floor, but you could make that switch slowly over time.

Does anyone else have two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs? We are expecting LO2 in December, when DD will be almost 3. Right now we use the two downstairs bedrooms and hardly go upstairs.

With DD, we had her sleep in our room at night but had her napping/playing in her crib during the day as soon as we brought her home. I know this is why we never had a bassinet-to-crib transition problem, so I'd like LO2 to have his/her own space from the beginning.

Then again, maybe LO2 will turn out to be a good sleeper and we can just have the LOs share once LO2 gets to be about 6mo or so.

What would you do?
