@anonysquire: yeah I think it is the chewing factor. It happened to my BFF's little girl, and they immediately cut off the end and that was the end. they let her carry it around but the pacifier aspect was gone.

I just don't think she will share lol. The new baby is going to need his own.

@Mamasig: @MrsRcCar: she's kind of obssesed with them and has never chewed or been rough with them, so I'm going to let her keep them!

@anonysquire: N is 25 months and still loves his wubbanub. He wouldn't take any other kind. He doesn't chew on them, we nipped that quickly.

@anonysquire: my son used his wubbanub until he was 15 months. He never ripped the plastic off. Though he did pull the stuffed animal from the binky part.

Both of my boys still use pacifiers. They both use wubbanubs. N loves his triceratops (he has 3, plus 3 other kinds) and E doesn't have a preference yet. E has a variety of his own. They still steal from each other anyway. I figure they both have the same germs so I try not to worry.

@LuLu Mom: oh ya I saw that. Since we got teeth over here at 2 months, she's been using them 6 months too long. Is it because they will bite chunks off?

@twodoghouse: ya that's true!!

As far as some spit-swapping, I figure it's just inevitable with siblings? We just do rinsing under water whenever they'd trade pacis. But toys go in both their mouths and I'd be washing things all day if I washed every time they traded a toy and both had their mouths on it.

@anonysquire: Just an FYI wubanubs are supposed to be used before teething (online says up to 6 months), so your DD might be ready to move up to another kind before baby comes. It might help keep it separate!

@twodoghouse: hmm, we currently use the wubbanubs right now too and I just figured we would buy the new baby his own set of wubbanubs. Maybe I'll look into the wipes. I can see zuma stealing binkys left and right!

Yep! My twins used pacifiers for the first few months. At first we had a stash of pink and a stash of blue (and a few random green ones). Then we got wubbanubs so Blake had an elephant and Alice had a monkey. Honestly, once try could grab each other, they had each other's pacis in their mouth all.the.time. It was hard to resist the other baby's paci! Since yours are different ages, I'd try offering the new baby a different brand or style to keep them distinct. I do have pacifier wipes but just use that when we're out and something falls on the floor. I think they are made by Munchkin.

Has anyone ever had 2 kids using binkys at the same time? I'm wondering how this will work. Do you just have a separate set of binkys for each child? Or is there some sort of binky sanitizing cloths you can wipe so either kid can use them? Is that weird?
