I would think at that time, folks will plan to eat dinner afterward. I would do just cupcakes and maybe one or two salty finger foods like chips & dip.

We went to one at the same time at a My Gym and the mom just did cupcakes and that seemed like enough to me. I didn't expect anything more than that and DH, the kids & I went out to dinner after the party. But sandwich platter or chick-fil-a sounds fine, too.

One of our friends did a Friday afternoon party at a similar place. I think she brought in sandwiches from a local restaurant. I think any of your ideas sounds fine!

So we're hosting a birthday party for LO at My Gym (a local Gymboree type place) its a friday evening from 430 - 6 so I'm trying to figure out how much food to bring outside of cupcakes. The venue prefers minimal food/using their pizza vendor - LO doesn't like pizza sooo that's out. Thinking of getting a couple of catered platters from chick-fil-a or something along those lines.

Anyone else done one of these type of parties on a Friday afternoon? For his 1st birthday we did a whole big party and lunch but our place isn't big enough to have a dozen toddlers running around ;) (was easier when they were less mobile last year!)
