My daughter experienced something similar. What we were forced to do was put her in her bed with the understanding that if she didn`t get out, I would stay and sleep on her floor. We would go together to get my pillow, I would plop myself on her floor and she would feel comforted and fall asleep. Then as soon as she fell asleep, I left her room.

I also learned that she developed a fear of the darkness so she now sleeps with a lamp on.

We have had a wonderful sleeper up until the past month. LO turned 2 and we took her to Disney World. We all slept in the same room and Lo got used to us being near her at night. We have been back a month now, and sleep has been TERRIBLE. LO is getting up multiple times per night and crawling in bed with us. Bedtime is a nightmare and taking an HOUR to get her to sleep.

We have tried quiet time for 30 minutes with no difference. She is demanding to rock forever every night, multiple times. She just gets up, opens the door and walks out of the room every 10 minutes, screaming.

Please help! I'll take any suggestion at this point.
