@SerenaSF: Glad you can learn from my mistakes! Overall, I like the Cruz because the doors to my apartment building are narrow (just barely fitting a Vista), but I would LOVE it with better tires.

@SerenaSF: It might be easier to get a sense for the tires if you put something weighted in the Cruz and try it on a surface that isn't nice and smooth. I certainly didn't know the difference until we used it with a baby on a bumpy sidewalk!

Thanks all for the feedback so far. Tires are actually pretty important to me the more I think about it, so I think the new ones may be worth the additional cost.

@raintreebee: such great feedback! Stairs are definitely an issue for me (I have 5 steps to get from my stoop into my building) so the new tires sound like the way to go.

@spaniellove: I compared the 2015 cruz tires to the vista and they were almost identical, so I think it might be worth it.

Also, the bigger tires may make it easier to bump up and down stairs if that's an issue for you.

We have the 2014 Cruz and have avoided using it until recently even though we live in the suburbs because we like the tires on our Vista so much better. So if they've improved the tires to be more like the Vista I'd say definitely go for the new version.

We went with the 2014 because the cost savings, and ours came with the bumper bar and snack tray for free from Albee baby! They may still have the deal going on in case you decide to go with the 2014.

@SerenaSF: We just got the 2015 one yesterday! The main difference I can tell from my research is the bumper bar is included and there's new slightly bigger wheels. I'm not due until april so I haven't tested it (other than wheeling it around my living room) but I bought it over the previous version because of the wheels... I live in a snowy urban climate and hope these wheels will be better in snow. The other thing to consider is how long the company will continue to support the older version. If you're planning on having it a while, it might be harder to find replacement parts later....

I have the old Cruz and am not in love with the tires. It is a pretty rickety ride on the broken sidewalks of Brooklyn. I haven't tried the 2015 version out, but given my experience with the older model, it's probably worth it.

Does anyone have any experience with the 2015 Uppababy Cruz? Since it's so new there are not a lot of reviews on it yet. I am pregnant with my first and plan on getting it, but I'm not sure if the new additions are worth the extra $$ as the older version is still available, and at quite a discount (currently it's $200 less than the new 2015 version).

I live in a walking city and I'm pretty sure I will be using it all the time so I don't mind spending a bit on it and getting the 2015 model, but while the new tires are very appealing, I'm not sure they are really worth the extra $200.

Any input appreciated. Thanks!
