Elizabeth Warren & Bernie Sanders!! Yes, please! I absolutely love her, and have thought of her as a great candidate for president, for years.

If Clinton gets the nom, could Bernie run with her? ;)

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: It could have been the other way around or maybe I just had a really bad dream? As I said, I really can't remember where I saw it (it was before Trump started saying he's not eligible) but I don't see them working well together anyways - the two sides seem to be quite at odds

@sleepybear: oh gosh if that's the case Trump must really be in excellent health. According to him Cruz can't ascend to the White House. :silly:

I thought I had seen somewhere that Trump had said something about wanting to run with Cruz if he got the nomination? I'm not sure if that was really true or if he was just trying to appeal to the Cruz crowd, but I think that would be my work nightmare of a Republican ticket...

i think martin o'malley really wants to be hillary's running mate. that's why he's still in the race (he's still in the race, right?) but i don't know how valuable he would be to her, tbh.

As scary it is to think about, it is hard to wonder who would pair well with Trump. I think he needs someone like Nikki Haley.

@Finfan: I agree with you unfortunately about Clinton being the likely nominee/preventing a Sanders-Warren ticket.

I would love a Sanders-Warren ticket but I think Clinton is going to snag the nomination. She is probably the most electable of them.

I think Rubio is the most electable Republican but he seems really quiet. I read something speculating his campaign strategy is to skip Iowa and focus on the later primaries.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: She told Matt Lauer, when pressed, she would have the conversation if asked. He didn't mention Trump at all, though.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Warren is most likely to head Bernie's way rather than Clinton!

@ldh112: she told him she was too busy with her kids- prepping for college, cheering them on at basketball and running her state to think about being VP. Uh-huh. She's thinking about it!

Ooh a Clinton/ Warren ticket would be awesome.

I hope Sanders snags Elizabeth Warren for VP, as I think that would be a game-changer for Sanders in a lot of ways. But, she had the opportunity to look at a run for president last election and didn’t take it, so I don’t know why she would want all the drama without the “reward” of the office. But, I can dream!

I think Hillary will end up picking someone more liberal/left than she is, she’s pretty center so I think she will need someone more to the left to attract more lefty voters.

No idea on the R side. I think many of them are in tight spots because they are so right of center to attract the base primary voters, but that won’t necessarily work in a general election. So do they pick someone more center/moderate who may alienate the base but appeal more nationwide? Tough call.

I was wondering about this myself after seeing her on the Today show this morning! I could see her as a likeable GOP VP but can't figure out who she'd pair with- I know Jeb Bush likes her. I don't see Cruz or Trump meshing with her since she seems more moderate. Plus, she totally called Trump out last night and said so herself this morning on TV. What did she say to Don Lemon? I am not sure what frontrunner would choose her since it doesn't seem like Jeb will overcome Trump or Cruz.

As far as the Dems, I have NO idea! I lean more this way myself but don't quite know who is in Clinton/Sanders inner circle.

Interesting! Don Lemon just asked SC Gov Nikki Haley if she would be interested in being (the frontrunner) Trump's VP pick. Good question especially after her thinly veiled criticism of him during her Republican response to the President's State of the Union Address last night.

Who do you think will be the VP picks for both the Dems and Reps?

I don't really think any of the potential running mates are on the presidential candidate stage, but maybe. Or maybe a governor, senator, congressperson, or someone not connected to politics at all??
