UPDATE:
Everything is fine, as reassured by previous posters :) The baby is sitting really high in my tummy, and the midwife says it's stretching and growing that I'm feeling. I also have to be careful standing up from sitting and laying positions. She explained that the muscles on the upper abdomen separate with bump growth, and to turn to the side and push off from that position to not aggravate the soreness.

I totally had this, the doc said the nerves in the belly are more sensitive during pregnancy and it's pretty normal. Freaked me out when I first felt it!

I definitely had that in the same spot as you right around the same time. It went away pretty quickly.

Mine is still lower, but my abs feel sore frequently. I assume it's just the muscles stretching, but I could be wrong. either way, the midwife said as long as it isn't intense, and doesn't last a long time, it's not something to worry about.

Yes, all the time. I think it's pretty common and just a result of all the stretching going on!

YES! I feel major soreness/pain about 3 inches below my bra. It hurts. Mine just started last night, but is contiuning into today. But last week, I had major soreness right behind my belly button, and to the right of my belly button, so the soreness is moving around. I'm guessing it's just regular growing pains.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning, so I know I'll get answers from my doctor then. But this has been on my mind all day! About four inches above my bellybutton (I don't think this is my uterus at this point?) my stomach feels very sore, especially to the touch. Like, it feels like a bruise, on the left and right side of my upper abdomen. Is this my belly stretching?? I'm carrying high, and the baby is a girl. I thought you only felt stretching in the lower abdomen (round ligament). I also thought my uterus was lower. I need to repeat high school health class. Anyone else feel this in second trimester?
