My LO ate 30oz at his peak!

You may want to google bottle feeding a breast fed baby, a lot of times babies drink more from bottles (because the flow is faster).

Good luck! I hope you find an answer soon!

Thanks guys! I was going to ask everyones opinion on the 24 hr thing - I've googled quite a bit and from what I can see it is safe but then two different radiology places have told me I need to wait 24 hours.. !! I hate conflicting advice..!

Would be amazing though if it could just be one or two feeds! I'll ask a LC too but so happy you guys all think 24 hours is unnecessary

I can't speak to the dye and safety, but assuming you do need to pump and dump for a day, ton prepare I found the morning was the best time to pump to build a stash for me. I would nurse baby when she woke up (both sides), then she usually napped in the morning, I'd get my pump set up, quick shower (hot water helps), then pump right away. That usually have me enough time to et dressed, clean up the pump and parts, and time to refill for when baby woke up hungry. Doing that a few days a week have me enough of a freezer stash to be away for a little while, but didn't drive me insane.

@Tundra Daisy: I looked on kellymom and this is what they have to say: http://kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/meds/radioisotopes/

But it is 4 years old so I would def consult a LC as well.

There's an app for your phone called Lactmed. My pedi uses it to determine what is safe and what isn't during breast feeding.

@Tundra Daisy: I would do some research on that because it doesn't make much sense. Usually the people that tell you those things just say that to be safe but really aren't the experts.

Do you have a lactation consultant you could call? Or even a pediatrician?

I need some advice from expert pumpers! I've only just started pumping - my baby is 6 weeks old. Two days after my baby was born I lost my voice and I still haven't got it back  I've seen a specialist who wants me to have a CT scan but for this they need to inject me with contrast dye and i've been told that I can't breastfeed for 24 hours after I have this done!!!

So I'm going to have to try and pump 24 hours worth of milk at the same time as breastfeeding - gah! How much would I need? How many oz does a baby usually take in one feeding?

Any help would be fantastic! I'm a bit daunted by the whole idea but desperately want to find out what is wrong with my voice!

Thank-you!!!
