It'll definitely pass, but I feel for you, it is rough. :( One thing my daughter loves as a bribe to get her in the bath is a cup of ice cubes to play with. She loves feeling them melt in her hands underwater. Maybe if yours thinks it's a fun treat it might help? For about a week it was like torture everytime. Finally one night my husband played some music on his phone and it totally distracted him and calmed him down. I bought her some new toys and let her play around the tub and in it with no water, then with just a few drops of water. Then, we got in with her (it was a whole family effort.) I really didn't want to force it with summer comig and freak her out about pools, etc. gradually it got better and better. It lasted about 4-6 weeks. Sunday was the first time we didn't have to get in with her and she let us wash her hair without screaming. tonight she was splashing herself in the face and pouring water over her own head. I think the majority of it came from not wanting water in her face. I have been keeping a towel on the edge of the tub and wiping water off her face as soon as it gets on it. She didn't care at all tonight. I'm definitely happy we relaxed about it and didn't force it. I think it's a phase a lot of kids go through at some point! For about 2 weeks now my LO throws a complete fit when I try to get Her into the tub- screaming bloody murder, kicking, thrashing, trying to bite me, the whole nine yards. </p> <p>I've tried everything- bribing with treats, getting in with her, only filling it a bit, and basically just forcing her which is just no fun. </p> <p>I have no clue why she is suddenly so scared. She keeps saying she's afraid and it's too slippery, but she's never fallen in the tub! </p> <p>Helllllp. </p>
