Well DS1 was not a difficult baby at all, but he had extremely bad GERD which was so hard to deal with. DS2 had no GERD thankfully, and that alone made him an easier baby. Not to mention he was (still is) just very happy all the time! DS1 isn't a grouch or anything lol, just DS2 is extra happy!

For me #1 was really fussy and bf'ing her was terrible. #2 DS was the easiest baby ever and even as a toddler he is super chill. My BFF had a super chill, sensitive, soft spoken #1 Son and her #2 turned out to be the quintessential bouncing off the walls "spirited child" and she was completely not prepared... I hope for all the moms that you get easy babies!

Number 2 isn't here yet but I am hoping he will be like his big brother! I am a little scared that he will be a terror and N has been an amazing, happy, calm baby.

@Beyond2: in my experience baby #2 was much easier! DD was a handful as a newborn/infant. She cried and was inconsolable a lot. DS was a breeze, once we got through the nursing issues.

In my opinion, I just knew what to do better. I had tricks that had worked with DD and could try them on DS immediately and that just made it a little better. :)

Here's to hopin' LO #3 is even easier hahaha!

I hope everyone says LO2 is easier. I only have one LO and in my opinion she is far from an easy baby (she met the standard for colic but she didn't cry ALL the time). One of my biggest fears is having #2 and discovering that LO1 was not so difficult and just suck at parenting.

So much easier. B was a lot fussier, never slept unless I held him and overall, I never knew what stage would end when and that was a little scary.

E was quiet as long as she was fed, loved to be worn and STTN at 8 weeks.

@autumnlove: this gives me so much hope! My LO was/is such an easy baby/toddler and everyone says "you know you only get one easy baby!" Which makes me so scared to have baby #2

My friend just has baby #2 in September and so far #2 is harder than her first bc her first was such an easy baby

I voted for baby 1 easier but I may have a skewed view since baby 2 was actually 2&3. But my oldest was a calm baby while my twins had colic.
