One on the right was taken 3 days ago. Waited about 3 minuets, put back in sleeve and forgot about (had been looking at negatives for a few months now so it was easy to dismiss).
Left test was just taken after the discovery of 1st test. Line was faint immediately and like this after 10 min...

When I started opks, I was totally unsure. Pictures helped me the most, so I kept this for future reference. This was my progression the month I got preggo (9w5 today). I think you're probably 12 or 24 hours away from ovulation, so I would start testing twice a day to make sure you don't miss it! Based on my app (temp + opks) and my ultrasounds, I ovulated on 9/28.

@Photoriet: I highly recommend getting the digital ones with the smiley face indicator. So much easier to read!

@MrsBucky: So, it depends on your cycle length. I usually start on cd8-10. You take them in the afternoon (and maybe morning too if you think you might have a short surge.) Once it's positive (the control line is as dark as or darker than the test line) that means you will ovulate anywhere from 12-72 hours later. So, once you get a positive (and when it's nearly positive) start bd-ing every other day. Studies should that every other day is nearly as effective as every day. The egg lives for another 12-24 hours after it's released but sperm have to go through a maturation process that takes several hours before they can fertilize. So, ideally, the sperm would be waiting there to "pounce" on the egg so to speak once it's released. Hope this helps!

@crazydoglady: apologies if I’m thread jacking, but can you give me the run down of how you use opks? I never have but am thinking I might this cycle. Do you start after your period? Test twice a day? TI on the day of positive + each day after for three days? I’m so clueless!

Mine are normally that color all cycle until it's positive when the test line is bright red just like the control line.

@Photoriet: Definitely test again in the afternoon. Since LH rises in the morning and is in urine by the afternoon, pm testing is most accurate. If you get a positive in the morning, it's often the surge from the previous afternoon. That's why I test twice a day.

@Photoriet: Yes the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. And it's hard to say but I would bet it'll be positive later today or tomorrow, depending on when you normally ovulate.

@mrskansas: Day or two away? It has to be the same distinctness of control line right? Still possible to concierge because of the life expectancy of sperm.... ((Sorry so many frantic questions))

My hunny and I are in our 2nd month of TTC. Missed the window last month to test. Using the Ovia Fertility app to try and pinpoint ovulation seeing as how I've never had anything close to a "normal" cycle. We got him a vasectomy reversal last year after the original procedure was done 11yrs earlier. Looking for support and community. Any ideas on if this test is positive? Super excited to even see two lines (only control lines on others)
