That PDF isn't the actual Lora Jensen version. The ebook goes over signs of readiness and the ideal time being around 22 months. We trained successfully with it around 23 months. Good luck!

We used the 3 day method earlier this year. I read about it on the HB blog!

@birdofafeather: That's so promising! I've also been doing mostly what you did, except the sounds. I just need to be more consistent and try some diaper-free time.

@MamaChin: We've been introducing it to her for months: it's in the bathroom, we would have her sit on it when we went, make noises when we peed to have her associate the two. Then we started putting her on it before baths just to try and we also got a potty book to read to her while she sat on it. We never forced her but she would sit and occasionally pee. She's been showing signs of readiness for months (since 18 months) but we travel basically every week/weekend so I've been too lazy to pull the trigger. The 3-day PDF says 22 months is the right time and that's this month and we actually have a couple weeks at home where I felt I could give it a go and let her get comfortable before we had to drive several hours. Last week though she was having a start of a rash so I let her go diaper free for a bit. She peed in the potty two separate times without me asking her! I was so surprised that I just basically kept her diaper free whenever we've been home for the last week and even tried to get my parents/in laws on board this weekend. DH and I are going to practice with her with underwear and then move into undies and pants. At that mark where I was going to do the 3 day method I might give her (and us!) a push and try undies only using the techniques she lines out.

So yeah. R basically decided she was ready! Ha.

@birdofafeather: I'm interested to hear how you accidentally did it!! My boy sits on the potty every night but is only interested to hear me recap our day.

@shopaholic: for sure! R has only told us a couple times when she popped. I put her on the toliet once and she cried. I think I am going to let day care do it

@birdofafeather: Did you buy the PDF in the first link? Yay! Way to go R!

@Smurfette: I'm not sure if she is or not, but she is telling us when she has a poopy diaper. She's only peed twice in the potty, but I think if I gave her more opportunity, she might go more often? I figure it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

That free PDF you linked isn't the same as the 3 day method for purchase. I was planning on doing the 3 day method in a couple weeks when we're actually home for 3 days in a row without travel but last week we accidentally started really potty training her and she goes on her own if she's home with no pants (pooped in the potty twice now on her own). Gonna try the rest of the suggestions in the 3 day method. The babycenter outline is good too.

I have several friends who have done it, all with success. They've told me if you can get past the first two days the third is usually a breeze.

I see a lot of references to 3 Day Potty Training. Is the one everyone talks about and uses this link?
http://www.3daypottytraining.com

I have read this PDF and wondered if it's the same for purchase above?
http://www.fcs.uga.edu/docs/toilet_training.pdf

I'm planning to give it a try this month (or next), even though I have low expectations with a 20-month old. Any other tips or links suggested to read?
