The issue for us wasn't the actual training, it is the maintenance, for lack of a better term. Once you commit to potty training, you may literally be in the bathroom every hour. Teaching them to go isn't difficult, it is teaching them to not wait too long that can be a longer process.

We are on day two of the three day method. I gave up around 7 because she had a wicked fever and hasn't been eating or drinking much, and I felt like we were getting nowhere. So I put a diaper on her, and somehow she is miraculously improved from her illness, running around, eating and playing. She peed twice and popped once all within half an hour of putting a diaper on her. Then she asked constantly to go pee in the potty (she sat but didn't pee). I think we will try again in the morning.

I suggest having lots of paper towel on hand. Lots of underwear. Keep them in the bathroom you're using. Prepare food ahead of time. Have treats for yourself because it is exhausting, and I've found it quite boring and frustrating. Have laundry done ahead of time. Have extra sheets and blankets ready to go for the middle of the night. Prepare your distraction techniques ahead of time (ie "I want a diaper on!", "let's go watch Sesame Street!"). And after what I am considering tonight's failure, be prepared to adjust your plan and expectations.

And good luck!

DD was peeing and pooping by herself after day 1, so 2 days is possible!
For us, keeping her bottomless was key. Just popping in so will write some tips for you later tonight!

We didn't follow a specific 3 day method, just picked a weekend. Pee took one day, he got it right away. Poop took about 2 weeks. He would just wait until we put a diaper on him for naps or night and then poop.

I think it's definitely doable if she's ready... We chose a 3 day weekend for DD, but she was already going in the potty lots by then and didn't have any accidents all weekend. We even went out.

Is it possible?

I think LO is definitely ready and I am scared we are missing the perfect window for her. But I have no 3 day weekends coming up till end of May.

Can we do it in two days?

Those that did the 3 day method can you talk to me more about it? Tips?
