He got a yellow kite (like Curious George) that he is excited about as well as a Curious George matching game. If you want something RC, I'd look into stores that cater to hobbyists because their stuff is generally better quality. (I'm not a RC hobbyist, but I know some massive geeks! :) ) Hot Wings planes are a good, fairly inexpensive option for toy planes and are available on Amazon. They make die-cast toys that look like real planes and I think they usually include a little stretch of foam runway. My only beef with them is that they sometimes paint the planes in flashy colors.
