Mine won't poop at preschool, so we prepare for poop at bedtime or in the morning. He occasionally says it hurts, but we do poop hands to have comfort during tough ones. We also talk about pooping is okay to comfort him.

@BabyBoecksMom: sounds like a good idea! We had a similar issue with our three year old, and gave her Miralax for a while which fixed it.

@mrbee: no - that's the weird thing! She's pretty regular, but I'm wondering if I should start giving her more prunes or something to help it out?

Ugh no idea but LO will often hold it and I think she is also afraid it is going to her because there have been times where she's held it too long, and yeah, it hurt. Sometimes she goes ok and others not so we have to sit and read to her or do some type of activity to get her to go.

DD1 has been potty trained for about a year now, but she is suddenly scared to poop because she says it will hurt. I can't remember her having a bad experience. We have to really coax her to go now, explaining that it will hurt worse if she doesn't go. I have no idea what changed

Any ideas?
