@mediagirl: Nope, only one doctor, but the hospital has 12 that rotate so there's a good chance he won't deliever my baby. And if he is there I think I'm going to turn around and have Cameron in my tub at home. I dislike him that much. The only reason I'm still there is because we've got our doctor lined up for after so all I need him for is circumsion, and he's the cheapest around these parts.

@Mrsbells: I have one but it doesn't stay inflated. I think if I sit differently and do the cat position, I'll be okay. If not there isn't much I can do about it.

wow your doctor doesnt sound very nice at all...
Do you have an exercie ball? Because i heard there are some exercises you can do with the ball that help get the baby in the right position

Do you have just one doc at your practice? Could you ask to see another doc on your next visit? I have one doc at my practice that I LOVE and if I ever had questions, I would make sure to make the appt with him.

@MegWag: I hadn't heard that before but I have been sitting at the table instead of the couch. I just flipped my chair around now.

@lemondrop: I had heard about rocking on all fours before, but I haven't tried it yet. It reminds me of sex, and that's certainly not something I want on my mind right now. Though it might be what I try later!

This is from another post here that I found really helpful before my labor for positions and ideas for getting the baby to turn (with my own Cameron too!)

Boo to unsupportive doctors! I think there's still plenty of time for the baby to move. One thing to try that I learned at my birthing class next week (that I'd never heard before) is to sit backwards on a chair instead of lounging on the couch. The midwife said it would encourage the baby to turn around instead of slouching back with you. I don't know if you'd already heard that one, but thought I'd pass it along. Good luck!

I don't have any advice for the position of the baby, but I wanted to say I'm sorry your doctor is being unsupportive and such a pain.

Just got back from the doctor's for my 36 weeks check up. Everything seems to be good, except Cameron is posterior and he told me to prepare for back labour. My google-fu says there's a few things I can do to try to get him to turn because he's not engaged, but the doctor said nothing.

He told me I still could get an epidural and when I said I didn't want one, he rolled his eyes and said I could change my mind. Ugh, I like him less every time I'm there. Thankfully there isn't too many more visits left!

Anyone else find out their baby was posterior, and if you did, did they change in time for labour?
