We have the Avent version that we used with DD1. If you don't put all the parts together, just exactly, it will leak.

We have a WOW cup... They are great and spill proof, but I find that I can suck so little water out each time so I feel like DD doesn't drink enough from it!

I like them. If they are thrown from a high chair they leak. But they help them understand the concept of "I need to tip the cup back to drink out of it". I really like handing them to an unsuspecting adult without kids and see if they can figure out how to drink out of them. All of them push the "button" in the middle of the lid on the munchkin 360

Yes, we use them for both kids.
My son has his at daycare because the cups stay there and are cleaned there. I love how easy they are to clean.
My daughter has hers at home and has been able to drink from it since she was 11m old (we didn't have one before that). They are spill proof for as long as they don't a) pull on the silicone inlay b) they throw it on the floor etc (no big spills but some might come out). They are spill proof when the topple over at the dinner table etc.

My son once pulled on the insert while he had the cup in his RF carseat and was soaked. So it's not my prefered cup for traveling :)

We have a couple Munchkin versions of this cup. My MIL gave them to us when they were 10 months or so, but their mouths were too small then to make it work. Now at 21 months, my kids like these quite a bit. (DS is drinking water out of his right now). They are pretty spill proof, but I can't put them in my diaper bag because it just takes a little pressure to break the seal and then it spills everywhere. I don't think it leaks if it just gets knocked over. These are really popular with the kids at our story time, but one mom said she has problem with it getting mold under the lid. We only use the cup with water, not milk, and have not had any problem with that!

Has anyone tried one of these cups before? I know a few different brands make them, but I'm wondering if they work as well as they claim. They are supposed to work like a regular cup, but without leaking/spilling. Here is what they look like, pretty much the same for other brands too:
