It was at a chinese place that does reflexology though and I told them to avoid the area, but they know what they are doing. I am sure you will be fine going to a normal place. My understanding is that in order for acupressure points to induce labour (a) the pressure needs to be prolonged, and (b) the baby needs to be ready to be born.</p> <p>I had one pedicure around 33-ish weeks, and another at 39.5. She's also told me that she's never seen someone go into labor after hitting that point, so I never worry about it. If you did, did you ask the nail technician not to rub the pressure point between your heel and ankle bone? I've seen this come up a lot in the pregnancy books I've read, but I need a pedi like crazy.... I can't reach my feet! DH offered to paint my toes so I guess I could always take him up on it instead :) </p>
