He is more interested in the trike but has trouble pedaling. I was hoping he would take to the balance bike more, but we haven't practiced that much on it due to the weather and he gave up pretty quickly the few times we did try. We'll try it again in the spring. The Strider is definitely worth it though. My DD used it and we just passed it down even though she was 4 when she started and he is 2.5. We made sure to measure her height and she should fit just fine. He is almost 3 but just moved into 24 month clothes. I swear by the balance bike. He just zooms around town in it. I wish I could post pictures.
