So I pretty much stay in the hotel when I'm on business trips alone. When I travel, I like to know where I'm going so I'm not the type to just drive aimlessly... Unless I'm pissed and need to get some space. ;) I don't like going to big cities alone. I can drive through the city if I had to. I could kill time by doing some shopping. I could, however, drive from food place to food place. I don't mind eating alone. </p> <p>If I had to think of one place to relax at alone, it would be somewhere in Alaska or some place where I could see the Northern lights. Iceland sounds nice but the long flight there would feel isolating. </p> <p>I do love the beach and hanging out in the pool but I need someone with me (a friend or DH)... At least for a few days. DH and I just decided that this year we'll each take a 4 day trip, either by ourselves or with friends, whatever we choose. It's not such a pain for childcare if only one parent is gone, and 4 days is not a huge amount of time.
