@lazb: do you happen to know the lot number or expiration date? I've gotten 4 positive FRERs, 1 positive wondfo, and 4 negative wondfos and 1 negative clearblue digi, all throughout this week (yeah, this has been an expensive cycle!) my doctor won't let me come in for a beta until my period is officially late on Tuesday

I read a blog recently where the woman had a similar situation. Not sure why the blood tests show negative, but in her case they did the blood test again several weeks later (after continued BFPs) and finally got a + result.... so I would definitely test!

So weird! I had this happen to me when I was nursing after both kids. I've gotten positive preg tests and not been pregnant. I never had a period, didn't miscarry but just would get faint positive tests but not be pregnant. I've googled, talked to people, never found an answer.

I think that hcg increases/decreases first in the blood, and the urine follows suit. I had 2 chemicals, and when I had a beta of 5, I had still gotten a light positive frer - even after I did the beta that morning. So blood is more accurate, but I'm not sure why or what causes the delay or how long the delay in the urine is exactly.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: @Mama Bird: I did have bleeding for a long time, 6 weeks and some spotting on and off for a couple more weeks. I had a tiny bit of spotting only once Thursday and once Friday, which is what prompted me to test.
@Tidybee: maybe the nurse considers a chemical pregnancy to be a false positive?

with my chemical pregnancy, all of my tests looked as light as yours...some got a tad darker, some stayed super light but were there. My beta was a 6.7 at 13dpo and the nurse basically said it wasn't a viable pregnancy and to expect a period soon. I started bleeding 2 days later.

@LAZB: I think it usually just causes postpartum bleeding to go on longer than usual, and milk supply problems. Someone told me to get checked out for that when I had really bad supply issues, but I was fine.
