Thanks for the reassurance everyone!

@yin: Haha, she pooped this morning! Usually she poops right after her morning nurse, but I guess she decided to go ahead & take care of it :)

LO usually wakes up content and doesn't cry out for me. I let him babble for a bit in his crib. He usually likes to take his morning poo first thing after he wakes up. :p

Totally normal! DS did that from very young on...then went through a crying wakeup phase... now at 15 months, he often "plays" and chills by himself in the AM!

It's the best! LO usually wakes up happy and rolls/walks around in his crib talking to himself and his dinosaur blanket in the morning. We leave him in his crib until it's time for milk at 7am. He wakes up anywhere from 6:15-6:45 (sometimes a bit earlier, and very very rarely later).

Oh gosh mine did this for a long long long time. Up until a few months ago, when her babbling got SUPER loud. E would just lay in bed quietly, a little babbling, playing by herself, and eventually would wake me up. Sometimes it would be 30-60 min!

Very normal! There are times that we leave LO to doze in and out for an hour after he initially wakes up. He's happy as a clam and is even more excited when he hears us singing to him to come "wake" him up!

@loveisstrange: Thank you :) If you can't tell, literally everything she does lately has made me worry we screwed her up permanently by sleep training!

Glad to know this is normal - love HB <3

I wouldn't worry. If she needs you, she will let you know! My little guy has been doing that after most naps. Like your mom, I also take it as a sign he is well rested.

@daniellemybelle: we rock and nurse to sleep. LO wakes two-three times in the night to eat and she still wakes up in the morning talking to herself. I think your LO is waking up talking because she is happy and well-rested!!!! :)

L wakes up like that about 25% of the time, and it's when she's in a good mood (must have slept well!). It's always a good day when she wakes up without crying!! :)
If I recall correctly, she did that more often when she was younger. As she's getting older she wakes up mad more often :(

Totally normal. C has always done that. Your mom is correct. Waking up happy is a good sign that she's getting good sleep at night.

If she was angry or needed something, she'd let you know. You didn't "break" her.

We do that. My lo talks and plays in his crib if he wakes earlier than our normal time. Sometimes he falls back asleep too. I think they'll let us know if their unhappy so unless he cries, he's content and practicing his "talking' until I come get him.

Since we sleep trained, LO does not cry for me in the morning. She lays in her crib awake "talking" until I come get her. Unfortunately I am a heavy sleeper so her talking doesn't wake me up right away! I feel bad not knowing how long she has been just laying there - this morning I am pretty sure it was for close to an hour, because DH said she was up when he got up but he thought she went back to sleep.

My mom says this is a sign she is getting good rest - she is happy & content in the morning - and that I don't need to worry about getting her right away. Is that true? Anyone else's LO do this? I am of course taking the more pessimistic angle that with sleep training we taught her not to cry for us :( but that's kind of silly because she still wakes up & cries for 2-3 night feedings.
