Well, she ate a lot more yesterday & had a better night last night. Hopefully making adjustments to her bottles will help with a quicker transition back to nornal! KNOCK ON WOOD.

@kodybear: She doesn't go back to sleep! I figured the same since her eyes are closed, but nope... she will just keep on until someone goes in there! She's stubborn. :)

@sorrycharlie: UM, you're supposed to say, "Janie, this is no big deal & she will be back to normal SO SOON!" :(

My baby still does this sometimes at almost 9 months. They stop sleeping as deeply in the early morning hours, so I expect it after 4-5am. I just always give her a paci and she goes back to sleep the vast majority of the time...so far.

hmm are you sure your LO is actually awake? I say this because my LO used to do the same thing (still does sometimes!) but she's definitely still sleeping! the cries are definitely loud and it seems like she's awake but when i go in and look at her, her eyes would be closed and if i picked her up she'd kind of startle awake. i've read the moms on call book/online classes and they talk about baby sleep cycles where for 3 hours they are in deep sleep, then they have 30min-1hr of active sleep where most of the time they're actually sleeping still but they make noise, move around, as if they're awake. but if u leave them they go right back to deep sleep. moms on call mentioned that alot of times, the parents are the ones waking the baby up when they think they're awake and pick them up during this active sleep. so if her eyes are closed, i'd just see if she falls back asleep on her own. but if she's really awake, like eyes open, then i'd just try to soothe her. anyway, thats just my take on it, hope this goes away soon for you!

Sadie slept in the RNP next to my bed from birth-3 months. She STTN from pretty early on - usually 8:30p-7:30a, then went right back down for a nap from 8a-10a. We transitioned her to her crib for naps at 3 months, and then for night time sleep 4-5 days later. As soon as we transitioned to the crib she started having 1 nighttime wake-up around 3:30, but would go right back to sleep when I went in there and rubbed her head for a minute. I was hoping this wake-up would go away as she got used to her crib, but it's only gotten worse! She's been waking up more & more lately. Never to eat, and she's not even all the way awake -- just crying with her eyes closed. Last night she slept 8:30p-3:30a, went back to sleep after I soothed her, then woke up again at 4:00, 4:45, 5:30, 6:00, 6:45, and then up for the day at 8:00! AHHH! Mama can't do this.

Someone help me. Advice? Opinions? When will this end?!
