thanks guys. I guess I just never really knew WHEN people sleep trained. I hadnt had to deal with it before. This is exhausting. Luckily all I have to do is show up and rub her and she goes back down, but still...sigh.

I would give it a week or two and see what happens. Her sleep may correct itself. But it is not a coincidence that so many people sleep train around 4 months!

oh yes charlie's sleep became horrendous at the 4 month mark. he was up for hours in the middle of the night sometimes and mr. bee and i would take shifts. we eventually sleep trained at 4 1/2 months when we couldn't handle it anymore because we weren't sleeping at all at night.

you can try to wait it out because it could be a phase and she'll return to her former good sleeping habits. charlie wasn't a good sleeper though before the regression so we had to sleep train.

Yes, this is called the wakeful period. Mavrick had it as many other babies of mothers I spoke to.

This is when I started sleep training Mavrick with the Cry it out method. It took 5 days and he went back to his sleep schedule.

So Liv has been an awesome sleeper since she was born. Always at least 3 hour increments at night, and sleeping through the night (7:30pm-7am) with one feeding at 3am since she was 6 weeks old. BLISS. But the last two nights, she has gone down at 7:30, wakes up at 1:30 or 2, then keeps waking up every 1.5 to 2 hours. She only wants to eat at one of the wakings (the usual 3am one) and for the rest, she smiles when I walk into her room and will go right back to sleep as soon as she knows I'm there. At first I thought it was the time change, but now I'm thinking its the 4 month sleep regression (she is 3.5 months old.) Is there anything I should be doing for this? Its exhausting. I got more sleep than this when she was a newborn!
