@bao the Weissbluth method comes from the book healthy sleep habits, happy child.

@novbaby1112 I realize we are supremely spoiled to have a LO sleeping so well. ;) just wanted to make sure we aren't rewriting what is already going so well.

if he seems hungry at that time, and is refusing the paci and other efforts, then feed him. i'm not trying to come across as mean, but 1 night feed at 4 months old is not the 4 month sleep regression. hours and hours of rocking, waking up 5-6 times a night are. waking up to eat once a night at 4 months old is pretty dang good! i would have killed for that :silly: if he seems hungry then definately feed him- he could be going through a growth spurt at this time and require more calories.

@Honeydew: curious what the Weissbluth method is all about? Could he maybe be going through a growth spurt and is just hungry? E eats once around 1am (7pm bedtime) and again at 5am, before waking up for the day around 9am.

We've been following the Weissbluth method and it's worked well thus far. Our son has been STTN since 9 weeks from 7:00 - 6:30. The last couple of nights he's been waking at about 3am crying. I've gone in to give him a pacifier and he'll get more aggravated. I have sent my dh in with the pacifier and he gets angry. We then bottle feed and he seemed to calm and we put him back to the crib. He will then fall back asleep after 15mins.

Are we totally undoing the sleep training that we put into place? Is there a different approach to getting our son back to sleep? Or is this totally text book 4 month sleep regression?
TIA
