will she nap longer if you wear her? For sleep regressions I vote that you do whatever it takes to keep them from getting way overtired (but don't beat yourself up if they do). She'll be back to her happy napping self eventually.

@winniebee: How long has he been doing the shorter naps? Like I said, G's only started to be really crappy this week, but I am hoping it's a short-term thing.

No advice....but I'm there with you on naps. T's overnight sleep seems to be resolved momentarily, but he is now a terrible napper. I can't get a decent nap out of him regardless of what I do and now he's basically only napping in my arms in the afternoons. He used to nap 2-3 hours in the morning and then a few more hour naps (or at least 45 mins)....now it's 30 mins around the clock.

Okay, I will admit to thinking I had the sleep thing handled fairly well. LO is a little over 4 months old and she sleeps from 7pm-7am and usually naps for a total of about 5 hours per day. That is, until this week. This week, while she has kept her nighttime sleep the same, her naps are all over the place. Whereas she used to do 2-3 hours in the morning, she's doing an hour and a half if I'm lucky. As for the other two naps, I used to get about an hour or longer each and now I'm getting 30 minutes.

I'm assuming that this is down to the 4 month regression because I have changed literally nothing else about our routine. The only other thing I have noted is she's eating more frequently than usual.

Anyone have any advice on getting past this? I know I am very lucky to have her sleeping through the night, but she's extremely agitated and over-tired and it's tough to see her this way.
