@MsInformation: Welcome to the Zombie Club!

As of this morning, I am no longer confused. This is totally it. We were up every hour, on the hour, starting at midnight. DH is getting ready for work in a fog while I sit here in the fetal position, rocking, Googling the heck of of it to find out how long it's gonna last. Not sure how I'm going to get through this day!

This just started happening to us! We put DD to bed at 8 pm and she had been consistently waking up for a feeding between 4-4:30 am, then sleeping until 8-8:30 am. This week, she's been waking at least once an hour starting around 10 pm, and I've been nursing her sometime between 2-3 am and then again at 6 am. I am a total zombie at work today.

It's really interesting with twins, because I think DD hit hers a few days before DS. DD is back to STTN -- we had to wake her up to feed at 4am when DS starting fussing, (we feed them at the same time, pretty much no matter what). However, she had been doing the EXACT SAME THING with her wake ups last week, (if anything, she actually started even earlier in the night). But yesterday and today, she's back to normal. Here's hoping DS follows the same pattern.

@highwire: It's awful! I feel like I've adjusted well to having less sleep in general, but middle-of-the-night wake-ups really affect me. I just can't get back to sleep afterward, and then I'm on-edge listening for the monitor. That, in turn, puts me on-edge for the rest of the day! Not good. I hope you are recovering now :-S

Hard to say, but it sounds like it.

Ours hit around 3.5 months and lasted a few weeks. he went from waking once a night to waking up every few hours. He never took a paci, so I had to feed him at each waking.

A STTN 7-7 for 3 weeks, then hit regression and had three nights of random 2-3x wakeups (pacied for most of them)... since then he's back to STTN 7-6 and has had random 5am wakeups in the last couple of weeks.

his naps were unaffected a few wks ago, but yesterday he was fighting them (crying fits) like no other.

@twoofeverything: He goes down for the night super easily. He just won't stay down at this point. Plus, he just wants to be held. I can get him to fall asleep again but once that head hits the crib, his legs go straight up in the air and he rolls onto his side and that pisses him off so the crying happens again. If I put him in our bed, he sleeps fine but I only do that if DH has already been kicked out due to snoring :) I think his big issue right now is that he's learning to roll and that keeps waking him up. As much as he would benefit from swaddling, we weaned him a few weeks ago and I won't go back, especially due to him rolling around. I guess this is just something he has to work through on his own. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later!!!

@twoofeverything: I have the same exact thing happen! My sleep and mental health are tied together very tightly.

@MUI831: We're lucky, I guess, that they are still going down for bedtime without much of a fight, and they still give us a good 6+ hours at the first stretch. DS has been fighting his naps for the last week or so, too, so that's not fun :-(

Ours is still going strong 2+ weeks later. Does it get worse before it gets better because it has been worse the past few days. I miss it when he would sttn. Now I'm lucky to.get 4 hrs at his first stretch. And the paci isn't ad effective as it used to be. Mama sleepy

@mossyslane: Oh geez...I won't! I have heard horror stories, though.

@highwire: I hope ours passes quickly, too! I'm already starting to feel my sleep deprivation-induced depression and anxiety returning. SO SCARED this will get worse, but hoping for the best!

That's kind of how ours went. It only lasted a few days (knock on wood!) She's been STTN the last two nights, and is 4 months, 6 days old now.

So I'm not sure if this is "it"...
Our LO's (now 4 months exactly) began extending their nighttime sleep at around 12 weeks. Up until the middle of last week, they were mostly STTN, going down around 7pm, dream feeding at 10pm, then waking at 4-5am for a paci. They would then be up for the day between 6-7am.
For the last several nights, they have been waking up earlier and earlier for a paci (closer to 2:30 or 3am), then needing their pacis replaced every 30 minutes or so. We have been having to feed around 4 or 4:30am. On the flip side, they are sleeping in until 7.
So...is this it? It's certainly SOME sort of regression, but is the worst yet to come?
