@bao-thanks! I haven't decided if/when/how we will sleep train at night time, but I feel she's a bit too young right now.
For naps she fusses it out for 5 minutes or so on either my husband or I, and then she'll pass out. So I guess we are kind of doing a motified CIO for naps. But we've tried that at night time and it just makes her more worked up and she won't calm down enough to fall asleep...
Praying the earlier bed time and routine improve our night times!

We have been through it all the past few months. LO started sleeping not so well just before 4 months old. I knew it had to be from the 4 month sleep regression. LO is 5 months old today and 3 days ago we started sleep training, using the CIO method, which up until now I was not a fan of. Along with the CIO method we adjusted her bedtime from 7:00pm to 6:30pm and boy what a world of difference that half hour has made! She had been waking up 8 times a night on average, and now with the earlier bedtime and CIO a few minutes here and there, we are at 2 wake ups. That is a huge improvement. So with that said, I would try and get a routine going like you had been and maybe adjust to an earlier bedtime and see if that makes a difference.

LO will be 4 months old next week, and I’m started to dread putting LO down every night. LO naps really well, isn’t always on a set schedule, but I’m ok with that since she’s not a fussy baby and is pretty mellow.
Up until a week or so ago, our bedtime routine started around 7:30pm and I changed her diaper, put PJ’s on, rocked and nursed her to sleep. She would go down fairly well every night and only wake at 1:30am and 5am to eat and then wake up at 8am for the day.
We had a busy couple weekends when we were out with family late and her bedtime routine kind of went out the window for a few days. This is when her bedtimes became later and later, and more difficult to put her to sleep. I think she’s getting overtired since she’s up later, or could this be a form of the ‘4 month’ sleep regression? She’s waking about the same (maybe a little more on some nights) and sometimes around the 4/5am feeding she’s really awake and harder to get back down.
I’m a first time momma and I’m dreading bedtime every night. I’m going to try to get back to her 7:30pm bedtime/routine, but are there any tips/advice you seasoned momma’s have for me?
