LO is almost 4.5 months now and we only had one bad night of sleep the day she turned 4 months. She routinely sleeps 8-4, feeds, and then goes back to sleep until 5:30. If wakes to eat past 4:30 then she's usually up for the day.

We did notice her naps turned to crap at 3.5 months and we haven't gotten them back on track.

DD went through a regression at. 3 1/2 months that lasted for about a week. We then were smooth sailing til a regression at 6 months that I think we're still dealing with at 8 months.

@googly-eyes: no way! We hit a patch of REALLY bad sleep recently for two weeks and it was horrific. At least back then I was already barely getting sleep. Now I was spoiled with better sleep so it made it harder.

@googly-eyes: I honestly do not recall either of my other daughters going through this. I was really intrigued by this when I first started seeing it on the boards.
Granted it's been 10 and 6 years since I had a baby but I really do not remember any awful sleep issues.

@hilsy85: See we haven't had to sleep train. She did it on her own. Puts herself to bed most nights and has always slept in her crib. Hopefully that won't change too much.
@Kemma: We are currently in the second leap of the wonder weeks and she is def following along with their possible changes but only during the day. Hopefully, she won't stop sleeping at night during her developmental leaps.
@googly-eyes: I figure since she's my third I shouldn't have much problem dealing with it if it happens but no one likes less sleep ;)

We dodged the four month regression but hit the six month regression with a vengeance and only came out of it at just past seven months (we didn't sleep train, our sleep issues were all developmental and completely normal for a baby!)

DD wasn't sleeping through the night but giving me a 5 hour long stretch which I thought was acceptable. Around 3.5 months her sleep and naps started to deteriorate until she was waking up EVERY HOUR all night. Things finally got better at 5.5 months when we sleep trained. It was awful though!

We were getting an 8-10 hour stretch at night. Then she started waking up once a night. Now at a week before 4 months, she gets up after a 3 or 4 hour stretch, every 10mins to 1.5 hour for the rest of the night. Usually only the boob will put her back to sleep. It is pretty much hell. And she had a cold on top of it. So her coughing will wake her up even more.

And I def freaked out a few nights and DH had to take her and just let her play so I can get a breather.

Ours happened around 3.5 months, around the time that she started to roll over. Luckily, it only lasted a few days. I just did whatever i could to get through it (e.g., Ergo or stroller naps, nursing as often as possible). I found that it was easier to get through it because her longest stretch was only 5 hours at that point.

We just got past it! It started at 3.5 months, and ended just earlier this week (a little past 4 months). I would say it lasted 2.5 weeks for us.

We went from sleeping from 8-4 am... to him waking up 2-3x a night again. The worst was one night when he woke up every two hours on the dot (10pm, 12am, 2am, 4am, 6am... ahhh). He was not as happy as he usually is, drooling like a waterfall, didn't nap as well, and was fussier when breastfeeding.

Then one day, it all went back to normal and left as quickly as it came. He is back to sleeping 8-4am... last night he slept from 8 - 6am!!! His naps are longer and more consolidated too. I'm feeling a lot more refreshed this week than I had been this past month.

Knowing that it's a phase helped me get through it. It's my 2nd time going through this so I went in expecting it, and it made it a lot more tolerable.

Aw. FUL. Just awful.

Her sleep was crap to begin with. Then it got worse. Literally 3.5 months of hourly wake ups and 20 minute cat naps. A 2 hour span of sleep was heavenly to me. I had to turn to decaf. While working FT. And she only wanted my boob.

Ok, with lots of talk about sleeping and regressions and what not, I thought maybe I'd make a post and add a poll to see just how common it really is.

My LO is 12 weeks and currently STTN starting anywhere between 8:30 and 10:30 but sleeps 8hrs from whatever point she goes down.
I'm not too terribly worried about any major regression cause if it happens it happens but I wondered how many of you actually dealt with it and to what extent.
Thanks!
